I’m trying to buy a shirt online, but when I want to confirm my order, it says that my credit card has been declined. Even though I still have enough money on it. The gift card came with a URL I can go to to register it before purchasing online and I already did that. But I also want to go back to it just in case to see if I still have enough money like I thought I did. Only, I forgot the URL too. Does anyone know what it is, or how to help me out? I am watching Live soccer games and the CPU is at 100 and then it suddenly shutdown had to unplug it and plug it back in I have the AMD processor and 1.5 GB of ram if i get 1 GB more of ram will it help with CPU performance to be lower or not really?

I have test.css and index.html and all the images in the same folder,but when i made a new.html page(in the same folder) and linked it to test.css .For some reasons , new.html page only show text and it does not have the test.css attributes . How do i fix it? Thank you!

Either add more ram (recommended) or Close some unneeded applications when using the application that gives you this problem or On the Start menu, click Control Panel, then click System. In the left pane, click Advanced system settings. If you’re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings. Click the Advanced tab, and then, under Virtual memory, click Change. Clear the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives check box. Under Drive Label], click the drive that contains the paging file you want to change. Click Custom size, type a new size in the Initial size (MB) or Maximum size (MB) box, click Set, and then click OK. Make sure you have plenty of space on your hard disk and set the minimum and maximum values higher than the recommended levels (displayed at the bottom). Don’t leave your hard disk with less than 15%-20% free space as this will cause excessive file fragmentation and slow you down even more!

whenever i try and open audacity 3.5 in vista i’am told there has been a ‘runtime error 216′ i know it has something to do with Fruity Loops because theres always another window that pops up saying something about interfering with one of Fruity Loops’ files but i’m not sure what to do, this never used to happen, it only recently started. please help

my kids received a magic jack & a phone (plain regular phone w/ a cord) for christmas. I plugged it in & set it up. It receives and makes calls. However the entire time the phone is plugged in it rings. I cannot get it to stop. The only time it stops is when you dial a phone # or when you answer a call. I have to unplug the phone from the magic jack to stop the ringing. I plugged the phone into my regular landline (cable phone service) and it works just fine with no unneccesary ringing… it only rings when it’s plugged into the magic jack. Is there something wrong with the magic jack? Shouldn’t I be able to leave the phone plugged in without it ringing constantly? I would like to leave the phone plugged in so that we can receive calls, but I cannot deal with the constant ringing. Anyone know how to stop the ringing?

currently, they are all together, the online ones are just in a dark black font while the offlines are in a grey. they are also not in alphabetical order, making things very confusing when i want to find a specific person to start a chat with. I constantly have to scroll up and down, looking for their screen name until i give up and look at each, one by one til i get the right person. It’s a hassle! Is it possible that i can separate my offline/online buddies into 2 separate lists like windows AIM? and if i can put my buddies in alphabetical order (not manually, is there a button i can press that will sort them like in windows?) i use a windows XP As soon as my computer turns on it comes to the screen where it says windows didn’t start correctly due to a malfunction. Its where I can choose safe Mode, Safe Mode w/ Networking, Safe mode w/ command prompt, last know config. or start windows normally. I’ve tried loading windows with all of these options but it doesn’t make it past the normal blue ‘windows is starting’ screen; and it immediately shuts off and restarts into that same cycle over and over again. I’m at a loss. please help. i have all my precious photos and files stored in that computer

Starting today, my volume control has been totally wacked. It randomly kept adjusting itself, with the sensor popping up as if I were doing it myself on the buttons above the keyboard; but I wasn’t. I turned the volume up, and it ended up setting itself back down all the way. I tried restarting my computer - it’s not doing the same thing, but now when I try to use my touchbutton thing above the keypad, it won’t go up - it keeps it all the way down (if the sensor comes on the screen at all). Hello, I currently bought a computer and i installed all the anti-virus and other software. I want my internet to work but when i go to my hardware files. Ethernet Controller and Bus Controller and 2 other software have a question mark next to them. It says that there is errors installing it. Yes, i uninstalled it and installed it back but it wont work. i still cant go on the internet. btw, i bought the computer in different parts. Like i have HP Procesor and BenQ Monitor. I think i have a virus or hijacker or something in my computer as for the past few weeks every website i go on has the same advertisment whereever the advertisments are its for pills. Also when i search for something on like gooogle ect or anything and i click on something like a link it dosent bring up the right link half of the time. I have been trying to do a sytem restore to a point a few months ago when it was fine but when i first click on it nothing happens and so i go back in and click it again and then the window pops up but its comnpletely blank with the wee not reponding icon in the top left hand corner. I dont know what to do to make this work but i recently got nortons 360 on my laptop and ran scans and it removed threats ect but it still happens cant get restore and get thos adds and stuff. I Was told it may be a hijacker. I was wondering if it fixes and ridsit as it hasnt really done any good yet and i paid £60 for it and also how would i do it with it??? I’ve had my laptop a little over 3 years and it’s been slowing down over the years. For example, it takes a couple minutes to open Mozilla Firefox. I know it has to do with all of the junk on my hard drive, but I don’t know how to go about cleaning it out. Should I completely wipe out my computer and start anew? If so, - will I have to re-order/ pay for programs such as Norton Antivirus? - will I need to install another copy of Microsoft Office/ buy a new version? Or, is there any FREE program that can help clean out the junk on my hard drive without completely wiping it out? If so, - Please name and describe the program. It was my sisters old computer, which always worked fine for her but when put it in my room it no longer works properly. The keyboard and mouse are still on, the number lock light is illuminated, but when i hit Cap lock the light doesn’t come on. The computer isn’t frozen, the clock works and the little hour glass appears by the mouse. Because the buttons don’t work Ctrl Alt Del doesn’t work, or Alt F4. I put music from itunes on the really slow home computer onto CDs and want to put those CDs on my laptop.My laptop also has itunes. But the home computer is almost 7 years old. I have a virus on my computer & I’m trying to get it off so I have been trying 2 download my anti virus I previously had 1 but I deleted it 2 install the 1 I got but it didn’t want 2 wrk so I left it alone 4 awhile I later went 2 my system restore & restored my laptop & then tried 2 dowload my antivirus but when I do it says I have 2 delete my previous 1 I had (the 1 I deleted b4 I restored it) so when I go 2 remove it it says it can’t becuz the file no longer exists. Personally I never have 2 Anti-Virus programs installed at the same time. They seem to have a knack for totally screwing each other up. They like to detect each other as a virus signature and tend to blow each other up. ~Yiffy MSE unlock iphone 3g

Okay. So number one problem is I have to type slowly, or my sentences look like this- “elo ow are yo ad wha is going o?” My laptop has touch sensor buttons at the top too that don’t seem to work at ALL. Or the touch pad at all. It’s a dell with vista. I have done virus scans and nothing has came up. I usually use a cordless mouse but it has never affected it before. Hi there. I would like to know what the following: ZoneAlarm, and Windows Defender will do for my laptop. I already have avast! 4 Home Edition installed, and would like to enhance my laptop’s security. And that’s why I would like to know what ZoneAlarm and Windows Defender will do, what else do they cover? What parts of my laptop do they protect and so on, for instance, internet security or the laptop itself? If you know what I mean. I’d just like to know because avast! is great, they are a very good anti-virus software, I’ve been using them for around a month or two, or more, and they have been brilliant. I’m just wondering because I’ve heard that ZoneAlarm and Windows Defender are two other great softwares that can enhance and improve someone’s laptop (or even computer). I’m very happy with avast! at the moment, they are doing a great job in protecting my laptop. But I wouldn’t mind knowing what else I can do with ZoneAlarm and Windows Defender. If there are other options too, other than ZoneAlarm and Windows Defender, please do let me know, as I would look into them more. The same day I uninstalled IE8 because it wasn’t displaying pages correctly Zone Alarm Firewall popped up an alert stateing IE was trying to access the internet - after I uninstalled it. I hit the deny button, but needless to say, I’m a little confused here. I’m running Windows XP SP3 on an HP Pavilion d4100e with Avira & ZA anti-virus suites & Windows Defender (they all seem to get along OK) & I run daily anti-virus scans. I uninstalled IE8 using “Add/Remove Windows Components” in the “Add/Remove Programs” feature of Control Panel. Does anyone out there have a clue? My computer keep on hanging and then restart when I open any games. I scan it with mcafee anti virus, and my computer has no virus, scan it with superantispyware and no threats found. I also used kaspersky rescue disk, and nothings found. I format my computer and install a games, and it hangs again. I have a virus that is not allowing me to view hidden files or folders. It won’t either allow me to run regedit or any programs to fix that. But I can access most of my files for backup. I just want to somehow select my hidden files, and copy them to a hard drive for backup, but it won’t let me unless I am able to view them. I have a Dell Latitude Laptop using Windows XP. I took it to Geek Squad because it was skipping and the freezing up when I played DVDs or any kind of audio. When it freezes I have to turn it off witut shutting it down. It also wouldn’t freeze right away..it freezes into about 10 minutes of playing DVDs or youtube videos. It was also making weird noises when it froze. Best Buy informed me that the noise wasn’t any hardware issue, but the kind of noise the computer makes when it’s frozen. They said nothing was wrong hardware wise, and that I had 6 viruses on the laptop. Well now, all those viruses are removed, and my laptop is still skipping and freezing when I play DVDs..to the point where I have to turn off the computer without shutting it down. I’ve had my laptop since like April, and just at the beginning of this month it started getting really slow (online and offline), and eventually started warning me about how my hard disk is apparently bad, and I should send it to my manufacturer or something. I was able to hit cancel on these notifications and ignore them, and go about whatever I was doing. I don’t want to buy a whole new laptop :(. Maybe ignoring the warnings of imminent failure wasn’t wise, but I can’t even boot up right anymore. It was just a bad hard disk, I don’t think I had any terrible viruses. In fact I don’t even know what caused this. —-the question——- But yeah, if I bought a new hard drive, would that fix everything? I’d be pretty much back to where I was when I first got the thing, assuming I bought a hard drive of the same size? —————————– I assume it’s the slightly cheaper option as opposed to buying a whole new laptop (Dell Studio 15). If I did, would I just unscrew/take out the hard drive in there now, buy a new one and screw that one in? And I’m good to go? I don’t care about the files that were on there, I’m not losing anything important. But like I said, it’s only the hard disk that’s bad, as far as I know. I don’t think the whole laptop is garbage or anything. It was only $700, but still… While I was getting prompts about this stuff, it recommended I take these instructions and print them/save them onto my flash drive: ” Instructions For Fixing Hard Disk Errors: We strongly recommend that you backup your computer to avoid potential data loss. After you have backed up your computer, you should contact your computer manufacturer or other hardware technical support to determine if the disk with errors needs to be repaired or replaced. Every time I try to log on to that site, I get redirected to Google (and when I try to look up my wish list, it’s like my browser automatically replaces “metawishlist” with “google” and gives me a B.S. “not found” message). I have been running the free version of AVG for years but it has been causing problems with Internet Explorer 8. I solved it by replacing my AVG with BT Net Protect but now my father is having the same problem and his ISP doesn’t provide any security software. My computer had a virus and we got it rebooted and after getting it rebooted there is no sound but when I go on device manager and check it says the sound is fine and games that require sound are playing I think it has something to do with the settings. I went and checked almost all of them and there seems to be no problem last time there was a similar problem and someone sorted it out they sound sound was going in as an input and not coming out as an out put if this is the problem does someone know how I can adjust and if this is not the problem what is the problem. Hello, One day I noticed my son on some very disturbing website I want to monitor him, but I dont want any programs to install. Is there a way I can watch what he types, like checking the recently types keys or something. I would use a program, but he is a genius in detecting this kind of stuff. I heard of key loggers, but many of them I noticed are scams, and hacks, that actually work against you. Is there a possibility I can track what he types in his computer? I have got two computers connected to one modem. One via USB (computer A) and one via Wireless (computer B). Computer A has a printer hooked up to it and is running Windows XP. Computer B is running Vista and has that Microsoft XPS Document Writer driver installed. I can’t get Computer B to print because it’s trying to use that XPS driver in place of a generic printer driver. I’ve tried using that XPS removal tool to remove the driver, but because I think the printer is only accessed through a network, it’s not able to remove it (it just reads, “Checking Print Spooler Service” and that dialogue box can remain like that for hours). Is there any other way to remove the driver other than that removal tool? Or am I just stuck with a PC that can’t print through the network?

I recently bougth a new HDD (western digital 500GB) and i have Windows XP SP2 installed on it, But on my old HDD that i dont use (maxtor 120GB) i also hawe Windows XP SP2 installed on C partition (duh!) and on E pratition some files like… pics, movies, games, music. Now here is the thing i want to delete windows from my old HDD so i can connect it to pc with sata cable and use it as removable HDD on my Windows XP that is on my new HDD. Now, how can i delete Windows from my old hdd but i want all files that are on partition E to stay. Sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand me. thanks in advance! :)

Yes my sound isn’t working anymore. My computer crapped out on my awhile ago and I finally got it back today, however I am having problems with it. The audio is the main problem at the moment because it won’t play at all. Certain errors will make it cause sound but nothing else plays. Before, I only had to plug in my speakers but I’ve tried every possible plug in area and none of them work. I don’t know what to do anymore.

Ive broke my laptop not very long ago, and the laptop was really good thought, it was very fast, no delays, and great. But ive Bought a new laptop, and its no where near as good. I have no idea wt make it is, but its kinda new. Its a windows vista, Toshiba, and thts all i know. But when i go on random websites it takes quit awhile to load up the page, and when im playing games, its very laggy, like when i click something it takes awhile to react. And the worst part, is my old laptop when i loaded the laptop, it would take about 30 secs to get to home page, now this laptop takes around 5 minuets?? Why?? Ive tried deleting some stuff, weve got virus protection, no viruses, Its got a big RAM, and over 200GB harddrive, but its 2 100GB harddrives. Please can somebody help me? Why is my new laptop so slow, and how can i make it alot quicker? and less delayed? Without having to buy tons of things to make laptop faster that cost a fortune.. Im only 15. Copmaq presario 2500 maybe 7+ years old. How do I get this thing to run faster. When we boot it up it takes 5 - 10 minutes before you can use anything, any sooner than that it will freeze up. The anti virus recently expired and anything I tried to put onto it totally screwed it up. After Mcafee I couldnt get anything to run. I took that off and am using a free avg for now. I had to recently wipe out my Windows Vista and re-install it with XP because it became too virus infested and completely failed. Now I am looking into how I can prevent these issues. I love to download fonts, but I don’t exactly want to pay $20 for them. I used to use DaFont.com and I loved it, but now I’ve been looking at reviews and such to make sure. So I got a new computer in the middle of October, it is a Toshiba Satellite A500/040, came with Windows vista Home premium. I got a Windows 7 upgrade disc that is only for my computer. I have upgraded my Laptop to windows 7 and am now having troubles… I think I picked up a few viruses and I am wanting to re-install windows to get my laptop back to normal. The only problem is I am not entirely sure if I can re-use the Upgrade disc. Does anyone know if I can? And if not, what I can do? I got a virus in my computer, the virus randomly poops up websties when im online, or when i click on a link fro example a link from somthing i googled it send me to this ramdom pages. My internet explorer also keeps on saying that there was an error so it keeps shutting down. I already scaned my compuer several times and all it catches is a tracking cookie, It never picks up any virus. Also one of the sities that popped up was about norton popping up sites and had people’s comments of how annoying that was. It was a Norton site(wich pooped up too) I dont know if that is even relevant to this. Ok, Norton picked up a few viruses on my computer called JS.SecurityToolFraud and a few others which Norton didn’t give names (They Were Trojans) too. Now Norton Says it got rid of these viruses and i need too take no action. Then i got a notice saying something along the lines of ” A seciruty risk appeared, no futher action needed. Then i got the same notice after about 15 minutes. So Norton hasn’t got rid off it, is there anyways i can ensure that the viruses and the trojans Ps. …My screen saver didn’t come on and the screen went black and said something like ‘video driver and 3-D wasn’t up to date’, so I went to Intel and updated driver and ran some kind of program. My Avira Anti virus come up saying I had malware, I cleaned it. Checked to see if my screen saver came up, it didn’t. So I tried system restore, didn’t work. restored for an earlier time, didn’t work. What is wrong and how can I fix it…without using my recovery disks which it looks like i will have to do. Laptop: Lenovo Y410 OS: win XP sp3 AntiVirus: Norton Internet Security 2009 Back in the Philippines, I was using my laptop normally. No problems. I could connect to the internet, download stuff with p2p, etc. About a week ago, we arrived in Las Vegas and have been living with my uncle’s. I was enjoyed his really really fast internet (well, compared to my connection back in the Philippines, It was incredibly fast). I was able to download stuff of interest and also surf normally. The problem occurred after I visited a pornsite (and I’ve been visiting this pornsite back then so, I had confidence that It didn’t pose a threat to my system) (and please, I don’t give a **** about what you think about me If I visit porn sites) My laptop started hanging. I have to hold the power button just to turn it off. Usually, windows would show an error that “the laptop didn’t turn off properly” blah blah… It didn’t. After my next attempts of rebooting the laptop, about 5 minutes into operation, it would slow down, and after a few seconds, it would freeze and after trying to run task manager, it would sound off a loud beep that wouldn’t end unless I turn off the laptop by holding the power button. This happens when I’m connected to the net. This also happens when I’m not connected but gives my laptop more normal run time, and eventually hangs. I tried running system restore, It said that “it couldn’t help solve the problem”. I tried running system restore while in safe mode and it was successful. I rebooted back into normal and the same problem occurred (hang, loud beep). I tried doing a system scan in safemode (since in normal mode, it would hang right away), and it found 1 threat (mebroot) and said (Norton) to have resolved it. Fortunately, I had a back up OS (win XPsp3 again installed on a separate partition). I ran it, and connected to the internet. I surfed to google, fry’s, target, (since I was shopping for stuff). After about 20 minutes into browsing, the same thing happened to my laptop (without browsing porn). It hanged, and sounded a loud beep again. My laptop is a year old, and warranty doesn’t cover it any more. I want to know if I’m having hardware problems or software problems. Thanks! Happy New Year! I’ve recently discovered that the a virus (Infopass.Gamestealer to be specific) has somehow made its way onto my flash drive. It is most likely from a computer I share with the other four hundred or so at my school, but I’m unsure how to remove the virus as Norton (Yes, I realize that it’s terrible in terms of virus detection, but it’s all I have.) isn’t detecting it when I scan the drive. As a result of this virus being on my frequently used flash drive, I’ve managed to let it drop some malware (Hacktool.Rootkit) onto my personal computer. Norton only ever detects this one when I turn my PC on and never catches it during any of my scans of the computer. I put music from itunes on the really slow home computer onto CDs and want to put those CDs on my laptop.My laptop also has itunes. But the home computer is almost 7 years old. Hello, I pull up Internet Explorer, and it lets me keep my home pages up for a couple of seconds and goes to blocked after a few seconds. It says blocked in the tab up at the top. I’ve been ripping songs off of videos using video2mp3 for a really long while and then a week ago, I got a computer virus–but I don’t think it was from ripping but could it be? Also, if the songs are already on my iPod, does the iPod retain the virus as well yet is just unaffected by the virus? I saved all my music files on a flash drive before I reformatted my computer and I haven’t installed any anti virus software yet–should I reload all my files or no? I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista. I downloaded a MS word file which was attached to an email (no viruses, as far as I know). I then right clicked on the icon and renamed the file. A new icon with the new name appeared, and works fine to open the file. The old icon remained on the desktop and will neither open nor delete. When I try to open it it asks what program to use (even though it’s a .doc), I pick Word, then nothing happens. When I try to drag it to the recycle bin it says it’s no longer located on the desktop and I need to verify its location. It says its size is 0 bytes. When it freezes I have to turn it off witut shutting it down. It also wouldn’t freeze right away..it freezes into about 10 minutes of playing DVDs or youtube videos. Hi, i had my laptop about 3 weeks ago and 1 week ago i went to log into my account and after i put my password in and clicked enter it said welcome with the loading icon and just stayed like that. It did this every time i tried to log on. I could start it in safe mode. I just wiped my computer clean and started again with the disk. The same thing happened yesterday. I do not have a virus after doing scans from Mcafee and two other virus scans and they all found nothing. I have restarted my whole computer again and i am desperate to know what happened and how i can stop it from happening Again. My OS is Windows 7. Okay, well let me tell you that my computer is filled with worms and all of that, and its pretty bad, because i keep getting a lot of random pop ups every second (I have a Compaq btw) Also i have Alpha Anti virus &i heard that it a fake Protection program, so yeah. i have a Toshiba terca 8200 laptop and i have a wine32.worm netsky virus on my laptop and it turned off by its self while i was trying to remove it.um i tried turning it back on and it dosent boot up.i tried the f8 button (advanced options)and i press default option and it just goes to the blank black screen i tried to go to safe mode it had the little words coming down and then it stops after about 3 secs and just freezes.?i don’t know whats going on but i need to fix it asap and i dont have a boot up cd i didn’t back nothing up.i even tried to unplug the cord and the battery and hold down power button for 10sec and still dosent work i tried everything nothings works!!please please please help,its frustrating me!! I logged on today and it just wasn’t there. It’s not hidden. I’ve tried putting explorer into the task manager and it popped up for a couple seconds then disappeared again. I am unable to open web sites because this personal security web site keeps popping up. it is telling me there is no virus protection found on my computer. So I was surfing the internet like I usually do and suddenly Google Chrome shuts down. Now this program called “Antivirus Live” appears to have installed itself. Now as a limited user on this computer, I have no idea this program got in since I can’t download anything anyway. I have gotten its counterpart, Antivirus 2008 before and successfully removed it as a limited user but this one is proving to be a challenge. And I do have security, Mcafee, but it falls short when removing malware. Would any of you happen to know how to get rid of this foul program using a limiter user account?

I don’t know what it is but after i uninstalled a virus it deleted a lot of the scripting for programs to work and now it keeps de-selecting things as i’m doing them. Like i’m trying to play a game and it keeps de-selecting the whole game so it minimizes the entire game and i have to re-click it again, same with firefox, it even tries to close it. If anyone knows how to deal with this, any help would be appreciated

I think it has a virus which should be able to fix and one of the usb ports has been pushed in but this should also be easy to fix. Everything else is in good condition? I paid around 1000 for it. The model is an HP DV6700.

Norton Antivirus 2010 and Norton Internet Security 2010 are designed for use in Windows 7. Norton Antivirus 2009, Norton Internet Security 2009 and Norton 360 version 3.0 can all download a compatibility update through the Internet to make them compatible with Windows 7. I’d really recommend getting the latest version, i.e. NAV2010 or NIS2010 to be sure.

I don’t know what it is but after i uninstalled a virus it deleted a lot of the scripting for programs to work and now it keeps de-selecting things as i’m doing them. Like i’m trying to play a game and it keeps de-selecting the whole game so it minimizes the entire game and i have to re-click it again, same with firefox, it even tries to close it. If anyone knows how to deal with this, any help would be appreciated

I use Itunes for all of my music….but it costs a lot of money. I probably go through $50 of Itunes money a month and it’s getting ridiculous. A couple of my friends have told me about limewire….but if I get it I’m not sure if I’ll get a virus on my computer. I just got my computer fixed from a virus and I REALLY don’t want another one….What should I do? Stick with Itunes, or switch to Limewire?

Let me start off by saying what actually happens with videos. Whenever a page comes up that has a potential video on it, ones in which you can click a play button, my computer freezes up immediately. I ran a virus scan and there are no viruses. Literally, a second after the page comes up it freezes and the “program is not responding”. It was working fine early today. Now that I think back though, a message came up that was asking for me to grant permission or something and I may have clicked never but I can’t remember what is was asking for etc. Are there any common downloads I could do or any security options that I can get around?

I’ve recently discovered that the a virus (Infopass.Gamestealer to be specific) has somehow made its way onto my flash drive. It is most likely from a computer I share with the other four hundred or so at my school, but I’m unsure how to remove the virus as Norton (Yes, I realize that it’s terrible in terms of virus detection, but it’s all I have.) isn’t detecting it when I scan the drive. As a result of this virus being on my frequently used flash drive, I’ve managed to let it drop some malware (Hacktool.Rootkit) onto my personal computer. Norton only ever detects this one when I turn my PC on and never catches it during any of my scans of the computer. Are their any suggestions as to how I can deal with each of them individually, or even both at once? Thank you all for your help!

I installed Mozilla Firefox in F drive. Due to virus problem I formatted my C drive.Then i can’t find Mozilla firefox. So I installed Mozilla again. After that i can’t find my Bookmarks in the newly installed one. Now how to get my bookmarks again? Still am having that Mozilla in program files in F drive.

So i had this virus, Security Tool, so i removed it manually by watching a video on youtube. then when i removed it, the next time i logged onto my computer it said Windows could not find Logon.exe. I’ve tried System Restore (I have an XP by the way) and I don’t know what to do next. Do i need to pay for someone to fix it!?

it started a couple of weeks ago, the keyboard and touch pad stopped working, thought it must be a virus so ran scans with AVG and Avira but nothing showed, the problem seems intermittent, sometimes everything seems fine and then it all goes weired again usually starting with the curser either not responding or jumping all over the screen and sometimes disappearing altogether. I have ran C cleaner, Spy-bot and a couple of hours ago cleaned the registry with Reg-cure, apparently I had over 2000 problems, none of these made any difference. I decided to do a full recovery but when I follow the instructions and try to boot from the recovery disc it just tries to boot normally and asks for my account password which I cant enter because the keyboard ain’t working. Any ideas

Whenever I try to uninstall Spy Sweeper, I get a prompt saying the uninstall program doesn’t exist (same result whether I do this through Start menu or Add or Remve Programs). I DLed Ccleaner and Revo but they don’t uninstall it either. I also tried reinstalling and then uninstalling but the installation cannot be completed because of an error. Using the cd won’t do the trick either; it cannot complete installation (error message). What may have caused this is a recent system restore that I had executed to prevent the progression of a virus after Spy Sweeper had already been uninstalled (I think). I’m not sure but is it possible that that had something to do with it? Please help me get rid of this crappy program.

I have a Dell Latitude Laptop using Windows XP. I took it to Geek Squad because it was skipping and the freezing up when I played DVDs or any kind of audio. When it freezes I have to turn it off witut shutting it down. It also wouldn’t freeze right away..it freezes into about 10 minutes of playing DVDs or youtube videos. It was also making weird noises when it froze. Best Buy informed me that the noise wasn’t any hardware issue, but the kind of noise the computer makes when it’s frozen. They said nothing was wrong hardware wise, and that I had 6 viruses on the laptop. Well now, all those viruses are removed, and my laptop is still skipping and freezing when I play DVDs..to the point where I have to turn off the computer without shutting it down. If it’s not viruses, and geek squad said everything is fine with the computer physically, then what is it?

Brand New Gateway PC SX2800-03 Windows Vista Home 64bit with SP1 Intel Core2 Quad Q8200 4gigs of DDR3 for RAM Intel GMA X4500 Intergrated video (vga and hdmi outputs) 640 gig My friend just got this pc for Christmas. They were installing softwares. They must have downloaded a crappy software to get this error. The last software they installed and all the problems started after the install was iTunes. Probaly didn’t get it directly from Apple and got it from another fake website or something. OR maybe he may have visited an adult site and gotten the trojan/virus. Heck I don’t know cause the dang thing wont boot up. Here’s what I’ve tried so far…. 1. changed bios settings to boot only from hd. 2. tried booting into safe mode, it’ll restart cause it’ll get stuck right at cscdisk.dll 3. tried booting to last known good config 4. tried the “Launch Startup Repair”… that tried to repair but went straight to BSOD after 10min. I don’t even get a chance to get to the windows logo before it BSOD. Here is the error message: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. First, Some History: For the past couple of months, my computer has been BSODing after being idle with the top closed after 10-20 minutes Today, I installed Kaspersky Antivirus, Here where the real trouble begins, the computer kept freezing and BSODing on me, I kept having to turn it off by the power button, now the computer won’t even go past the dell boot screen, it says “Internal HDD Not Found” and makes loads of loud beeping noises. I have windows XP and a Dell Laptop which I got back in August.

Well, I’m not too sure it’s a trojan horse but it’s what I think. Anyways, one of my friends messaged me on msn saying, “is this you ? lol” then gave me a link. I clicked on it and it was one of those things where you have to download it. So I did. (I know, I’m very gullible D:) So I went back on msn, the computer was doing tthings automatically by itself. Everytime I tried to message someone, as soon as I start typing, it sends the same thing. “is this you ? lol” then the link. It then starts sending to every single person who’s online on my list. I shut down my laptop and I try again. It still keeps doing the same thing on my msn. The trojan horse is in my msn. Should I get rid of this virus by completely deleting my whole windows live messenger and reinstalling it again? I’m trying to get the simplest ways to get rid of this virus, besides restoring my laptop. Also can I have simple explanations with not too big words? I’m not really that intelligent, haha. Thanks again, every answer matters :)

My computer has been REALLY slow lately. Both the internet and the desktop are annoyingly slow. It’s a PC and it’s not new, but I’m not sure how old it is. We’ve had it for 3 years and before that, my aunt had for at least 4 years. I defragment it and do the disk cleanup regularly. And it has a lot of free memory left (it’s like 75% of the computer’s total memory is free). I have an up-to-date anti-virus program on it (BitDefender), and it runs scans on it, and has NEVER found a virus. All of the fire-walls are up and running. What could be wrong with my computer?? Okay..I’m totally a newb at this and I don’t really know much about what’s going on in my computer, but one day I was playig sims 2 and my computer shut down and restarted, and so I didn’t really make a big deal out of it until it kept happening. Then yesterday my comp started being extremely slow. I thought I had some type of virus so I tried doing a virus scan, and while waiting for that to finish I installed mAlwarebytes and got it installed but for some reason it didn’t run. So I installed adwarebot and did a scan and it showed me over 500 infected files and I removed them all. Then I tried turning off the automatic restarting thing, then suddenly I got the BSOD, saying I had the driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. And I have no idea what that means, and basically I haven’t been able to find out what the problem was because whenever I try to do I virus scan I can’t succesfully finish it wihout my comp restarting randomly.

Hello, I currently bought a computer and i installed all the anti-virus and other software. I want my internet to work but when i go to my hardware files. Ethernet Controller and Bus Controller and 2 other software have a question mark next to them. It says that there is errors installing it. So when ever i try to install this game warcraft III and the expansion, frozen throne my anti virus avg, says that are 4 corrupt files for both games. Both are trojans. I know this is long but i really need help! I tried up update my anti virus, which in return corrupted all of my drivers for mouse keyboard and back up hard drive. So I put in the only disc that came with the computer and was going to reinstall them, but it was a recovery disc. While it was doing whatever I noticed it said backing up files. When I got into the computer ….everything was gone…. So my question is… Is there any way possible to get any information back? At the moment there’s something wrong that it won’t even let my USB wireless internet to connect, so I can’t download anything. You always hear that even though something is deleted it can still be found….is that the case here too? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I have some hard disk errors on a laptop I’m fixing for a friend. There were probably viruses that removed important system and boot files. I tried the Windows XP recovery CD but it didn’t work. I’m now running a program called HDAT2 to check and repair bad sectors. However, if I decided to use their option of “wiping hard drive/disk”, does the hard drive become useless? Or can I still install Windows on it using an ISO CD?

I have an iPod and it was hooked up to my old computer, but my old computer got a virus and I had to throw it out. I have all of my music on my iPod. I bought a new computer and I downloaded iTunes on it, how can I get the music on my iPod into the iTunes library of my new computer? I’ve done it before, but I have no idea how. Infrequent we can see cool enough theme for WP. There are enough good themes, but very complicated in settings. I have installed recent versions of Designora, My Office, Jarrah, DesignPile, also I have installed also BlueSense - simple, but optimized for adsense. @chels I know what you mean, its hard to find good help these days. People now days just don’t have the work ethic they used to have. I mean consider whoever wrote this post, they must have been working hard to write that good and it took a good bit of their time I am sure.
